The repair process began with a full disassembly of the built-in DCS grill to access all internal components. During inspection, multiple burner orifices were found to be completely blocked by insect debris, including caterpillars that had built up inside the gas tubes. This blockage was causing uneven flame and poor burner performance. Each burner was removed and the orifices were carefully cleaned and cleared to restore proper gas flow.
Following the cleaning, our technician replaced the faulty main gas valve, which had been causing inconsistent gas pressure throughout the unit. A new OEM valve was installed and pressure-tested to ensure safe operation.
We then replaced the entire ignition system. All old ignitors were removed and upgraded with new ignitor assemblies. In addition, the gas collector boxes — responsible for distributing ignition flame across burners — were replaced to ensure consistent and reliable ignition across the entire grill surface.
Once all components were replaced, the interior of the grill was fully cleaned, including the burner compartment, flame tamers, and cooking grates. This deep cleaning removed grease buildup, insect residue, and debris that could affect performance or pose a safety risk.
After reassembly, the grill was tested for gas leaks, ignition performance, and flame quality. With all systems functioning properly, the DCS grill was returned to safe, like-new condition.
